It takes a while to go live on major subscription sites, and you have to have at least one episode before you can go live. We had to wait until the intro was live to get connected. We should have everything up and running by Monday when the next episode goes up. Right now, you can find us on the services below. Fear not, Apple Podcast listeners, we're pending there and just waiting for a link!
We also hired a producer today, so you'll continue to see quality of the show and our site improve. Blessings, Charissa

Friends,
It's here! The first episode is available now on Soundcloud and should hit Spotify, iTunes, and Google Play shortly. We will be adding links to the site as everything gets up and running. We had some technical/sound quality issues with this first episode, but we wanted to get it out there. Please bear with us as we get the kinks worked out. Along with equipment issues, I (Charissa) was working from camp with a bad wifi connection. This week, we are beginning our dive into the 10 Commandments. This will be a 7 week series total, including this intro episode. We'll be looking at how to love God and love neighbor and why that even matters. While this episode came out a day early so we could get it submitted to the distributers, you can expect new episodes every Monday, beginning August 5th. Pastor Charissa here, friends! Pastor Alan and I are so excited to announce the pending release of our new podcast, "Soft Idolatry".
We landed on that name as we were brainstorming because there is so much unexciting stuff that gets in the way of our spirituality. Most of us aren't out blatantly worshiping stuff that isn't God. It's not hardcore idolatry that trips up the modern God-seeker. It's much "softer." We go to church on Sunday, hear the scriptures, sing the songs, pray the prayers, then we just go on to Sunday afternoon and do whatever stuff we're gong to do until the next Sunday morning. Sometimes, we even skip the Sunday morning part. The goal of this podcast is to share some quality food for thought for the times between the worship. How can you engage with the Scripture in a real way in the middle of all the regular, boring, life stuff that gets in the way? From Advent 2019 to Pentecost 2020, we'll be releasing a new episode each Monday to explore the revised common lectionary passages from Sunday. This summer, we'll be releasing an introductory mini-series on the 10 Commandments. You can expect this series to hit on Mondays from July 22-September 29. |
About usYou've read or heard or preached the scripture this week. Now what? Pastors Alan and Charissa explore the spaces between Sundays in their podcast "Soft Idolatry".
